This is a very versatile hat. The first style can be worn by a larger fashion doll by just “perching” on top of the head. The second style is suitable for younger child as a sun-bonnet.

The first style has an extremely wide front brim which tapers into a very narrow back brim. 

A different bonnet can be made by not working the back brim. (pictured here as 46 NOBB).

 A ribbon brings the straw over sides of head as to protect the face from the sun and to keep it in place on the wearer’s head. The back brim has been removed for an additional look featured here.

Requires approximately 12 yards of 1/4 Inch Braid.
