Necessaire

We are proud to introduce another accessory for your favorite dolls.

"Necessaires" were refined small "work-boxes," used for the storage of tools for beautification, sewing, personal hygiene and health. These boxes were similar to "les boites a parfiler," literally boxes for unraveling old ribbons and outworn tapestry trim, popular during the reign of Louis XV, King of France.

Form measures 4 x 2.5 x 2 inches.

Requires approximately 10 yds of 1/4" braid. This Necessaire would be suitable proportionally for both antique and modern dolls measuring 18-24" tall.
